For the second missionary journey, Paul took Silas as his
companion. The journey is introduced with the terse
announcement in Acts 15:41 that "he went through Syria and
Cilicia, confirming the churches. We have no record of when
these churches were started, but a logical assumption is that at
least some of them were started by Paul before he was brought
to Antioch of Syria by Barnabas, and unrecorded period of
perhaps ten years.
