The next leg took them through the strait between Italy and Sicily and into the Tyrrhenian Sea. They followed the coast north and landed at the major port of Puteoli, modern Pozzuoli. It had been a Roman colony from 194 BC. Paul "found brethren" here and the Roman guard allowed him to stay seven days (Acts 28:14). The photo shows the market area which was surrounded by shops, now partially under water.
